
Dan Shearer has over 30 years of Alaskan experience in the oil and gas drilling, work over and completion industry. Dan brings a lifetime of rig experience, outstanding leadership, knowledge and technical abilities to the operation. He has performed major roles in developing several small and large scale projects. As Integrated Fluids Engineering lead for M-I Swaco, he managed the on-site start-up and very successful first four years of the Alpine project. Dan then spent three years as Operations Manager for M-I Swaco in Alberta, controlling drilling fluid activities in the Western Canadian sedimentary basin.
Upon returning to Alaska, Dan spent seven years working for BP as a Well Site Leader for the Rotary Drilling group and on the Wells Stimulation and Intervention team. While working for BP Dan was instrumental in coil tubing drilling and side track operations.
Dan joined Brooks Range Petroleum as the Drilling Manager and has contributed to a very successful 2012 drilling season at the North Tarn 1A and Mustang 1 exploration drilling program on the North Slope.
